Ms McCrory Dies From Cancer.


Helen McCrory who’s death came as a shock to everyone is a one time Olivier Award Nominee for Best Actress who has over the years graciously aired on TV series and Stage works. She was usually referred to as the Queen of British Star of Stage.

The late TV star actress was acclimated for playing Matriarch Polly Gray on the BBC series, “Peaky Blinders” and also Narcissa Malfoy in three seasons of “Harry Potter.”

Ms McCrory’s face was a known one especially to the British and Film viewers and to the London theater audiences before she got the recognition from the Harry Potter movies. She began her career in 1990, straight out of drama school where she played Gwendolyn in a production of Oscar Wilden’s “The Importance of Being Earnest” in Yorkshire. She got glowing reviews from the comic play, “Trelawny of the Wells” where she got the led role under the production of Arthur Wing Pinero.

The actress worked steadily in the theater for over two decades with well recognised and notable roles and appearances, ( Uncle Vanyain in 2002, As You Like It in 2005, Rosmersholm in 2008.) In recent years, she appeared on TV in leading roles like in David Hare’s Political drama, “Roadkill” and was the voice of a demon in “His Dark Materials.”

Just last year, Ms McCrory and her husband Me Lewis spearheaded a fundraising program to provide meals for the National Health Staff during the Corona virus pandemic. That effort brought about donations close to £1million to the FeedNHS scheme. About a month ago, on March 12, she appeared with her husband on ITV’s “Good Morning Britian” to discuss about the project.

Helen McCrory who was a mother of two kids and married to an actor, Mr Damian Lewis battled with cancer before dying at the age 52, her illness was kept away from the public. Upon her death, her husband took to social media to announce her death, “I’m heartbroken to announce that after a heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family,” he said.

She was born in August 17 1968 in London and died on April 16 2021 in London United Kingdom.
